GENDER BENDER
A gender bender is defined as a person who disrupts expected gender roles. The zine questions the binary world and aims to open peoples’ minds by informing them about the gender spectrum. Using the stereotypical colors for boys and girls (pink and blue)—the contrast in colors symbolizes the conflicting social issue we presently face today. The main focus is to help people understand that biological sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are not to be seen as one, but as separate entities.
